I grew up on a ranch in Northern California, where I was fortunate to be surrounded by a variety of animals. I was responsible for the daily care of our chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. I also enjoyed observing the local wildlife, including lizards, snakes, birds, coyotes, and deer.
