Hi! My name is Karila (pronounced Carol-ah), and I’m known in my neighborhood as the crazy fun dog auntie! This furry little Ewok is Ziba, and she is one of my friend’s dogs! We met in an office setting, and I would bribe her with treats; next thing we knew, she was following me everywhere, sitting on my lap at my desk for hours, and eventually we both had matching Halloween costumes :) Living in an apartment that doesn’t allow dog boarding does not stop me from providing all my TLC to my sister’s cats or my neighbors’ dogs! I grew up with small dogs: miniature poodles, Jack Russel Terriers, and mutt mixes. No matter what other kinds of work I pursued over the last 10 years, dog walking and dog sitting have always been included. I spent a year volunteering for the San Diego Humane Society because I had previously zero experience handling big dogs. I cherish so many memories with every breed I’ve worked with, from chihuahua to cane corso. Though I grew up with only dogs, I had my first experience raising a cat with an ex-boyfriend for about a year, and now I’m an obsessed cat lover. I find cats as loving and magical as the canines. My favorite review comes from a former colleague of mine, who proudly stated that if her house caught on fire, her dog would be the first thing in my arms and out of the building. I pride myself on my heartfelt devotion and dedication to protecting our precious animals!
