Growing up with a variety of pets—dogs, cats, and even my first pet rat—I realized early on that animals are a magnificent support system for myself, and caring for them is the least I could do in return. I’ve worked in doggy daycares, helping anxious pups build trust, and I’ve cared for all kinds of animals—reptiles, birds, small rodents, fish, and more.
