My lifelong animal involvement may have begun when just a baby? That’s when my grandpa’s Black Lab stray decided to “guard” me from strangers! Ever since, I’ve had dogs, cats, even a horse, plus assorted others. From 2011, when living in Santa Barbara, caring for people’s pets has been my work. I am available in Los Angeles for daytimes, overnights, walks, during the week or weekends. Special diets, meds, anxious, aged, blind or deaf animals? I can handle it. I have lots of experience with dogs as big as Weimaraners, Shepherds and the fabulous Great Pyrenees I had after college, to medium dogs like terriers and spaniels, to small ones like Yorkies and French bulldogs. I love them all. And that goes for all cats! (I drove over 300 miles to adopt Phoebe, a rescued Persian mix who’s been with me 7 years.) My specialty is extended care, frequently involving several days to a week in the home, meeting pets every need (including love!), while also making sure the home is well-maintained at the people’s standards. I’ve had many recurring “pet clients,” once regularly for 9 years in-house when both sweet, elderly Golden Retriever sisters passed away. Not to boast, but nobody who hired me has ever wanted anybody else to tend their precious family members. When we meet, I’m confident your animals will warm to me quickly, and you’ll feel assured that all will be well. Look forward to meeting you.
